About the Founder
Rob Hoffman is the founder of Robert Gregory Homes. He has a deep-rooted background in construction and an unwavering passion for architecture. His journey began in the heart of the family wholesale distribution business, Wimsatt Building Materials, which specialized in providing high-quality exterior building materials.
Rob’s academic pursuits led him to Lawrence Technological University, where he pursued his interest with architecture and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Armed with a solid education, he embarked on a remarkable journey in the professional arena.
Rob’s career was launched in outside sales, offering him the opportunity to hone his skills in relationship-building with contractors and home builders. Rob’s innate ability to connect with people and understand their needs played a pivotal role in his ascent within the company. As he continued to evolve, he assumed leadership roles encompassing both operations and sales, further solidifying his foundation of knowledge. Rob recognized the immense value of systemization and process standardization. This invaluable lesson not only streamlined operations but also underscored the significance of teamwork. Rob’s attention to detail and meticulous approach became second nature, distinguishing him as a true professional.
Throughout his journey, Rob fostered enduring partnerships with major vendor allies, embodying the essence of mutually beneficial relationships. His tenure within the family business culminated in the challenging decision to sell Wimsatt in 2021. This pivotal moment marked the inception of a new chapter in Rob’s career.
Determined to channel his ardor for construction and home design, Rob seized the opportunity to launch his own venture. Thus, Robert Gregory Homes was born.
